An 11-year-old Forest Hills Elementary student drew pictures of his teacher being shot and his mother being pushed off a cliff, prompting a school administrator to file an official public safety report.
The student, whose identity was not released because he is a minor, was charged with threatening a public official.
According to the Walterboro Public Safety report, the student drew a series of pictures on April 11 that his teacher found in the garbage.
The first depicted the student shooting his 25-year-old teacher. The second depicted a female lying in a pool of blood with a stab wound to her stomach. The third showed the student pushing someone off a cliff. The student identified the woman in the third picture as his mother because “he knew that she would be upset with him because he had gotten in trouble in school,” the report notes.
The student said he drew the pictures because of an incident that day “regarding his homework not being completed.”
The student was released to his mother. A report was filed with the Department of Juvenile Justice.
