A North Charleston woman on Monday chased her child’s father through a parking lot and crashed into a parked car, determined to run the man down with her vehicle, police said.

Alexis Simone Mack, 24, of Piggly Wiggly Drive is charged with criminal domestic violence of a high and aggravated nature in connection with the incident, police said.

Mack and her child’s 27-year-old father got into an argument in a CSL Plasma Center parking lot at 3275 Rivers Ave. about 2 p.m. Monday, an incident report states.

The dispute turned violent when Mack got behind the wheel of her white Honda Civic and attempted to run down the man, police said.

The man jumped out of the way of the vehicle several times, but Mack kept coming, according to the report.

At one point, Mack crashed into the passenger door of a gold Ford Crown Victoria the man was standing against, police said.

Mack left the center’s parking lot and headed home before police arrived. Officers found her there, and she was placed under arrest, police said.

Mack was held at the Charleston County jail on Monday in lieu of a $10,000 bail, according to jail records.
