Gwinnett forward Ryan Ginand scored a goal and added an assist to lead the Gladiators past South Carolina, 3-1, Wednesday night in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinal series.
The Gladiators take a 3-0 lead in the best-of-seven series. The Stingrays face elimination Friday night in Game 4.
Gwinnett’s Evan Bloodoff scored in the first period for the Gladiators.
The Stingrays tied the game at 1-1 on Scooter Vaughan’s power play goal.
Gwinnett’s Justin Weller gave the Gladiators a 2-1 lead when he shot deflected off of two Stingrays in front of the net.
Ginand scored an empty-net goal with less than a minute left in regulation.
