North Charleston police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg late Monday.
Officers were dispatched to Robertson and Althea streets shortly before 10 p.m. concerning a man being injured in a shooting, spokesman Spencer Pryor said.
Police identified the wounded man as Robert Washington, 51, of Walnut Street.
Washington argued with the shooter prior to the shooting about yard work that went unpaid, an incident report states. The gunman then pulled out a pistol and fired, police said.
Washington refused to cooperate with investigators, Pryor said. But officers were able to identify a suspect who they are still searching for, Pryor said.
Washington was transported to Medical University Hospital for treatment, Pryor said.
