A fight between two men possibly led to shots fired in Walterboro Sunday night, police said.
Walterboro police were called to an apartment complex on Sniders Highway about 10:30 p.m. concerning shots fired, an incident report states.
A 20-year-old man told police that he was standing in the complex’s parking lot when he heard about seven gunshots.
One of bullets hit the man’s truck, traveling through its windshield and landing on a patch of nearby grass, according to the report.
The man told police that the shooting was likely the work of a 23-year-old man who pulled a gun on him in a fight earlier that night on Mincey Street. Several people separated the men to calm that situation, the man reported.
Police located several shell casings behind a dumpster near the complex’s building “E,” the report states. Another bullet hit apartment building “C,” police said.
Police are still investigating the incident.
No one was wounded in the shooting and no arrests have been made, police said.
