The S.C. Department of Health and Human Services is asking the public how it can become more business friendly.
The department, which administers all Medicaid plans in the state, will host a meeting about “regulations that cause needless burdens on South Carolina businesses” at the North Charleston City Council Chambers at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
According to a press release about the event, the forum is scheduled in response to Gov. Nikki Haley’s executive order to all state agencies “to reduce government involvement in businesses and encourage entrepreneurial activities and economic growth.”
Additional meetings will be held in Spartanburg and Florence later this month.
Members of the general public and business community can also submit their comments via email or by phone through 5 p.m. April 12.
Contact the agency by phone, 803-898-1062, or email, email@example.com.
