Charleston’s charmers will grace the small screen on Bravo TV this year and former state treasurer Thomas Ravenel will be among them, according to news reports. The network announced this week that a new reality show, “Southern Charm” will feature the high life in the Holy City.
According to the network’s website, “Southern Charm” will open the gates of plantation homes for a “real-life look at how modern-day Southern aristocracy lives.”
The Bravo show will follow a group of the city’s “most charismatic gentlemen and their Southern belle equals,” according to the network site. Former state treasurer Thomas Ravenel told Live5 News that he will be on the show.
Ravenel, a Charleston business man, served a prison sentence in 2008 for a drug conviction.
