MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Myrtle Beach International Airport has opened its new terminal.
The $118 million terminal opened Tuesday.
Airport spokesman Kirk Lovell says the opening day went smoothly. There was a minor problem with the gates leading into the short-term parking area failed to open.
Construction began in 2010. The terminal was supposed to open in February but there was a delay in the delivery of some materials.
The new terminal has 13 gates. The old design had only seven.
