Charleston landmarks ‘Light It Up Blue’ for autism
Charleston landmarks will ‘light it up blue’ today for autism awareness.
Charleston Mayor Joe Riley and North Charleston Mayor Keith Summey, the Dock Street Theatre, the Old Exchange Building, the Medical University of South Carolina Tower, the Charleston Harbor Pilots Association, the Ashley River Bridge and the aircraft carrier Yorktown will all participate in the worldwide event, sponsored by Autism Speaks, a national advocacy group.
April is World Autism Awareness Month.
You can take part in the Light It Up Blue campaign, too. Find out more on the Autism Speaks website.
