Two school buses were involved in wrecks on Ladson Road this afternoon.
A Charleston County bus carrying students from Stall High School was involved in a wreck at Ladson at Lincolnville roads. Five students were taken to a hospital with minor injuries, district spokesman Jason Sakran said.
A Chrysler sedan and a Ford F-150 pickup were also involved, Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said. The sheriff’s office is investigating the wreck.
Ladson Road was closed from Lincolnville Road to U.S. 78 after the accident. Traffic was rerouted onto Patriot Boulevard, Lincolnville Road and William Aiken to Hamburg roads.
At least one other wreck on Ladson Road was also backing up traffic, Brady said.
An empty bus heading to Oakbrook Middle School hit a car at Ladson and Dorchester roads, District 2 spokeswoman Pat Raynor said.
