MOUNT PLEASANT — Former Gov. Mark Sanford is leading the endorsement race as he heads into the final week of his primary runoff battle against former Charleston County Councilman Curtis Bostic.
Sanford today met with former Dorchester County Sheriff Ray Nash, who announced to the East Cooper Republican Club that he is backing Sanford.
Nash is the fifth of the 14 former 1st congressional district candidates to announce his support for Sanford.
Last week, Sanford won 37 percent of the vote to qualify for the April 2 primary runoff, and Bostic received 13 percent.
