College of Charleston junior forward Trent Wiedeman, a preseason All-SoCon selection, has decided to transfer.

“It was a pleasure to coach Trent this year,” Charleston coach Doug Wojcik said. “We did not want him to transfer, but it was his decision and we wish him the very best.”

Wiedeman was hampered by two separate ankle injuries and played in 26 games this season with four starts. He averaged 8.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game for the Cougars.
