Charleston police raided a West Ashley apartment and arrested four men on drug charges.

Special investigators executed a search warrant at a Rondo Street apartment on Thursday. The squad found 15.5 grams of cocaine, 9.4 grams of cocaine base, a handgun with an obliterated serial number and nearly $1,500 in cash, said Charles Frances, spokesman for the Charleston Police Department.

Charged with possession of cocaine base with intent to distribute are Markeise Frayer, 27, of Elsey Drive; Jonathan Burns, 25, of Amber Lane; Rakeem Montgomery, 20, of Elsey Drive; and Albert Gordon, 55, of Rondo Street.

Frayer also was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. His bail was set at $350,000.

Burns, Montgomery and Gordon also were charged with possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute. The bail for both Burns and Montgomery was set at $150,000. Gordon’s is $20,000.

All four suspects were being held Friday night at the Cannon Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing, Francis said.
