Boeing to pay $12.5 million for 320 acres at Charleston airport
Boeing Co, will pay $12.5 million for about 320 acres across International Boulevard from its 787 manufacturing campus in North Charleston, it was announced today.
The aerospace giant is buying the undeveloped land from the Charleston County Aviation Authority, which owns and operates Charleston International Airport.
The deal was announced at the authority’s board meeting.
Boeing has not said what its plans are for the site, which is part of the airport.
The company and the aviation authority had separate appraisals done on the land.
