A North Charleston man accused of stabbing a man outside a convenience store in 2011 pleaded guilty on Tuesday in a downtown Charleston courtroom.

Desron Lamar Junes, 21, of Accabee Avenue pleaded guilty to attempted murder and was sentenced to five years in prison, according to court records.

Junes stabbed Justin L. James, 20, of Charleston, multiple times outside the Max Quick Stop at 2000 McMillan Ave. on Sept. 22, 2011, according to police.
