Man shows up at Awendaw fire station saying he was shot in the leg
A man showed up at the Awendaw fire station about 12:30 p.m. today saying he had been shot in the hip in McClellanville, Charleston County Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
The wound was not life threatening, but the man was taken by helicopter to a hospital for treatment, Brady said.
Investigators are working to find out where the man was shot and the identity and motive of the shooter.
