A former employee is accused of setting fire to the law firm where she used to work.
Julie Eckert Thrush, 46, of Wappoo Road, was arrested today and charged with second-degree burglary and third-degree arson. She is suspected of starting a fire Nov. 9, 2012, at the Manaker Law Firm, where she used to work, Charleston police spokesman Charles Francis said.
The fire started about 11:30 a.m. under the building at 571 Folly Road near the only door to the crawl space, Francis said.
Thrush is being held in the Charleston County jail.
Thrush was arrested Sunday by Charleston County deputies on charges of second-degree burglary and grand larceny and released on $15,000 bail, according to court records.
