Medicaid talk set for this week in North Charleston
A group of about 30 nonprofits are sponsoring a public town hall forum this week on the provision of the federal Affordable Care Act that expands Medicaid.
The panel discussion is scheduled for Thursday from 6 to 7:30 p.m., followed by a reception, at Mount Moriah Missionary Baptist Church’s Family Life Center, 7396 Rivers Ave., North Charleston.
Panelists include Robert Greenwald, director of the Center for Health Law and Policy Innovation at the Harvard Law School; Rozalynn Goodwin, director of policy research for the S.C. Hospital Association; Matt J. Severance, chief executive of Roper Hospital; and Reuben J. Pettiford, executive director of Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Inc.
The discussion will be moderated by WCBD news anchor Carolyn Murray.
