It will open at 10 a.m. with servings of pastry and free coffee and then begin serving lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Look for fresh salads and soups every day.

Trading places

Shrimp and Grits Kids, a children's clothing store in the Old Village of Mount Pleasant, will move in May to a new store in Central Square off Watermark Road, also in Mount Pleasant.

The kids' shop has leased a 3,500-square-foot retail and warehouse space at 1260 Appling Drive, near Bowman Road and Hungryneck Boulevard.

The new space is being renovated. The existing shop at 121 Pitt St. will be rented.

Cleaning up

A new Cactus Car Wash is being added next to Glasspro Pit Stop at 1800 U.S. Highway 17 across from Mount Pleasant Towne Centre. It will replace the existing Pit Stop car wash and will open in June. During construction, Glasspro's automotive service center will remain open.

Cactus operates several car wash facilities in the Southeast, including three others in the greater Charleston area.
