Edisto Beach blood drive
Edisto Beach will host a blood drive 11 a.m.-5 p.m. March 19 at Edisto Beach Baptist Church, 414 Jungle Road.
The drive is in honor of Autumn Rose, granddaughter of Edisto residents Wayne and Jamie Gaabos. Autumn was born 2 pounds 6 ounces and was 14.5-in. long. She received her first blood transfusion within a few hours of being born. Autumn is now six weeks old, weighs 4 pounds and is doing well although she is still hospitalized.
