Charleston Southern men’s golf 11th at General Hackler Invitational
MURRELLS INLET — Charleston Southern finished 11th at the General Hackler Invitational, which wrapped up Tuesday at the TPC of Myrtle Beach.
The Buccaneers were last in the field after shooting a third-round 301, finishing at 937, six shots behind Middle Tennessee State. Arkansas and Kent State were co-champions at 873, followed by Tennessee (880), Coastal Carolina (892).
Tennessee’s Oliver Goss and Kent State’s Taylor Pendrith tied for medalist honors with a three-round total of 215 (-1).
Ross Thomson had the top finish for CSU, carding a 1-under 71 after rounds of 78 and 80 to finish in a tie for 28th at 229. Jarrett Swan (77-78-79) shot 234 to finish 42nd, while Jason Sauder (78-84-75) was 47th at 237. Choo Teck Ng shot 86-78-76 to finish tied for 50th at 240, while Nicolas Baena (86-81-79) had a 246 and was tied for 57th.
The Bucs return to action March 22-24 at the Furman Intercollegiate in Greenville at the Furman Golf Course.
