Harris Teeter recalls bread product, may contain eggs not on ingredient label

Harris Teeter announced today it is voluntarily recalling a Harris Teeter Fresh Foods Market Bakery bread product sold in the bulk bins because the product contains eggs which are not declared on the ingredient label affixed to the exterior of the bulk bins from which the bread product is sold.

The recall only affects Knot Rolls.

Harris Teeter has removed the recalled product from the bulk bins in its Fresh Foods Market Bakery and packaged the product to include the correct ingredient label.

People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of an allergic reaction if they consume this product.

Consumers who have purchased the recalled product can return the product to Harris Teeter for a full refund. Consumers with questions may contact Harris Teeter at 1-800-432-6111, option 2, Monday — Friday between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 6 p.m. or Saturday between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
