Davidson downs College of Charleston, 74-55, in SoCon final

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – De’Mon Brook scored 24 points and JP Khulman added 14 points to lead four Davidson players in double-figures as the Wildcats beat the College of Charleston 74-55 Monday night in the Southern Conference Tournament final at U.S. Cellular Center.

Davidson (26-7) receives the SoCon’s automatic bid and will play in the NCAA Tournament. It was Davidson’s second straight SoCon tournament title and their fifth since 2006.

Davidson’s Jack Cohen, the SoCon Player of the Year, finished with 12 points, while Nik Cochran added 10 points.

The Cougars (24-10) were led by senior guard Andrew Lawrence with 19 points. Adjehi Baru added 11 points for Charleston.
