Seven young men and a boy have been implicated in what the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office called a “burglary ring” that includes break-ins to more than 20 homes in three jurisdictions.
The Sheriff’s Office said the group targeted homes in the Archdale community near North Charleston last year and this year. Police investigators in North Charleston and Goose Creek also linked cases in those jurisdictions to the suspects.
Four young men have been arrested and three more are wanted on charges in connection with the burglaries. One boy, who was not named, also was arrested.
The four already jailed and their charges: David Craig Ziegler, 17, four counts of second-degree burglary; Jeffery James Kirk, 19, one count of second-degree burglary; Henry Marquis Edwards, 18, one count of second-degree burglary; and Luke Vendrely, 18, accessory after the fact to second-degree burglary.
The three who remain wanted and their charges: Javan C. Jordan, 19, 11 counts of second-degree burglary; Jaason Lemar King, 17, four counts of second-degree burglary; and John Leon James Richards, age unknown, five counts of second-degree burglary.
