New editor joins Post and Courier
Mitch Pugh has joined The Post and Courier as editor, effective March 4.
Previously, he had been editor of the Sioux City Journal in Iowa since 2007, and before that, he held editing positions at newspapers in Illinois and Colorado.
He has a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Illinois-Springfield.
Pugh succeeds Bill Hawkins, who retired in September after serving as editor and publisher of South Carolina’s largest newspaper.
