Charleston’s SIB preps for growth with move to ‘NoMo’ area
A Charleston-based company that helps businesses and other clients cut their monthly operating expenses is moving to a bigger space within the city and plans to add 50 jobs to its payroll.
SIB Development & Consulting Inc. today announced said will relocate to a soon-to-be renovated building at 1081 Morrison Drive from its existing offices at 288 Meeting St. by early September.
“We’ve been searching for new space for some time,” said Dan Schneider, SIB founder and CEO. “We finally found a great partner in the developer who was willing to work with SIB on all its needs, including our indoor and outdoor space requirements as well as our desire to be a part of the redevelopment of the area.”
The firm said the new location gives the company more space and allows it to stay on the peninsula. The firm said it expects to add 50 jobs over the next two years.
The company’s new head office is being developed by Stephen Zoukis of Raven Cliff Co. The site is in a mostly industrial section of the city called “NoMo,” or “Northern Morrison Drive,” that’s starting to attract fresh investment.
