U.S. Coast Guard to offer course on boating safety on Sunday

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxillary Flotilla 12-8 will offer a course on boating safety this weekend.

Attendees can expect to learn basic navigational skills, how to use necessary safety equipment and legal requirements among covering other topics.

The course costs $35 plus an extra $5 for each additional family member. It will be held Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Coast Guard Station, 196 Tradd Street in Charleston.
