Boston College defeats Clemson on senior night
CLEMSON – There’s bad losses and then there’s losing to a struggling Boston College team on senior night like Clemson did on Tuesday night, falling 68-61 to the Eagles at home.
The loss to Boston College (14-16, 6-11 ACC) continues a second-half spiral in which Clemson (13-16, 5-12) has lost eight of nine games and four straight games at home.
Clemson improved as the year went on in its first two seasons under coach Brad Brownell, the same cannot be said of the 2012-13 season.
The only Clemson players who performed well Tuesday were those competing in Littlejohn Coliseum for the final time, seniors Devin Booker (19 points, eight rebounds) and Milton Jennings (18 points, eight rebounds).
Clemson closes out its season at Miami on Saturday. The Tigers do not know their seed yet in the ACC Tournament, but they will play on the first day of the tournament on March 14 in Greensboro.
