Teacher at Montessori School of Mount Pleasant tapped as one of 10 finalists for award
Megan Nordoff, a teacher at Montessori School of Mount Pleasant, is one of 10 finalists for a national award.
The “America’s Most Innovative Teacher” award is sponsored by GOOD and the University of Phoenix, which have partnered to host the second annual Great American Teach-Off. The competition targets innovative teachers who have interesting projects and lesson plans.
The public will vote on the winner, and he or she will receive a $10,000 classroom grant.
Nordoff is the head of the school, and she’s a supporter of conservation, early literacy, relationshi-based schools, Slow-Food concepts and nature education.
