VCU 11, The Citadel 6
Vimael Machin hit a grand slam in the sixth inning to stake VCU to an 8-2 lead, and the Rams remained undefeated with a victory over The Citadel in day two of the Charleston Crab House Shootout.
The Bulldogs play UNC Asheville in a doubleheader today beginning at approximately 2:30 p.m.
The game was not one for the highlight reel as The Citadel (5-5) committed seven errors leading to five unearned runs for the Rams (7-0), walked seven batters and hit three others while stranding 14 runners.
