SC couple pays thousands to find 2 missing dogs
BOWMAN, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina couple estimates they’ve spent at least $5,000 looking for their two chocolate Labrador retrievers, who disappeared about a week ago.
The Times and Democrat of Orangeburg reported (http://bit.ly/WpbbDK) that Lynn Whetsell says she let Lucy and Belle out for a run before church Feb. 24 at her home near Bowman. Lynn and her husband, Britton, haven’t seen the dogs since.
The couple created a dog search team that’s looked for the dogs for as long as 18 hours a day, every day. She placed flyers all over town, offering a $1,000 reward.
And they’ve had two air searches — one by a friend from a plane and another by a helicopter service that they hired.
Whetsell says she’ll pay the reward to anybody, no questions asked.
