Charleston real estate broker Russell Guerard knows it’s early to campaign for the District 110 state House seat, but he also knows he could face quite an uphill fight next year.
The steepness of that hill will hinge on whether state Rep. Chip Limehouse wins the 1st Congressional District special election.
If Limehouse does win on May 7, then Guerard would have a jump on this year’s special election to fill Limehouse’s current House seat.
If Limehouse loses, then Guerard could find himself battling an 18-year incumbent in next June’s GOP primary.
