Freshman Nate Brecklin to make first start for Citadel at Charleston Southern
Citadel freshman pitcher Nate Brecklin is slated to make his first college start when the Bulldogs visit rival Charleston Southern today.
Game time is set for 2 p.m. at Buccaneer Field.
Brecklin, a left-hander from Eustis, Fla., has appeared in one baseball game so far this season for the Bulldogs (4-3). He has allowed two hits with one walk and two strikeouts in two innings.
CSU (4-3) will counter with junior lefty Tory Schroff, who is 1-0 with a 1.23 ERA.
Bobby Ison leads the Bucs with a .435 batting average, while Tyler Griffin is hitting .484 with four home runs and 11 RBIs for The Citadel.
