The Charleston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a reported break-in and theft of lawn maintenance equipment from the Summerville Little League baseball fields in Lincolnville.

Deputies were called to the baseball field on West Boundary Street shortly before 7 p.m. Tuesday, sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said in a news release.

The property manager reported he had arrived at the shed around 5:15 p.m. to find it had been broken into and most of the lawn equipment was gone.

The stolen items include a Husqvarna Backpack Blower, a Stihl blower, a Stihl weedeater, Stihl edger, Echo weedeater, a Husqvarna tiller, and an orange-colored Husqvarna riding mower valued at $7,500.

Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact the Charleston County Sheriff’s office at (843) 202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at (843) 554-1111.
