Mount Pleasant police hunting for burglar

Mount Pleasant police on Wednesday released this surveillance photo from a recent residential burglary in the area of Rifle Range and Venning roads.

Mount Pleasant police are investigating two residential burglaries that occurred in the area of Rifle Range and Venning Roads in recent days.

The burglaries occurred on Feb. 21 and 24. The suspect forced entry through the garage doors and then entered the homes, police Maj. Stan Gragg said.

The burglar targeted sterling silver dinnerware sets and other various sterling silver pieces, Gragg said.

Anyone with information on these burglaries can contact Det. Byrd at 856-3030 or Crimestoppers at 554-1111. A reward is being offered.
