Washout causes traffic issue on Red Bank Road near Goose Creek High
A sewer main leak blamed on the recent heavy rains washed out a 60-foot section of eastbound Red Bank Road near Goose Creek High School about 12:30 p.m. today.
Two lanes of the road bound for North Rhett Avenue were damaged and closed. Troopers diverted motorists around the washed-out area in the lane that remained open.
A Department of Transportation spokesman said he expected road repairs to take about two weeks.
