Two charged in burglary of North Charleston home
A man walked into his North Charleston home and found two people using drugs, and several of his belongings missing.
Marcia Asby, 26, of Grayson Street, and Antwan Henderson, 31, of Baxter Street were charged with first-degree burglary in connection with the incident, an incident report states.
A man told North Charleston police that when he got home about 7 p.m. on Sunday, he noticed that his front window had been smashed.
He walked into the house, which sits on Carlton Street, and saw Henderson and Asby inside smoking drugs, the report states.
The man told the pair to leave, which they did, according to the report.
He told police he searched his home and discovered several items missing, including a TV, gold ring, gold watch, and a digital camera.
Police officers located Asby and Henderson and questioned the pair about the incident.
Henderson told police he thought Asby lived at the home.
Asby acknowledged that she was inside the house, but she denied breaking the window to get in, the report states.
Asby and Henderson were held at the Charleston County jail, according to the report.
A judge on Monday set both Asby and Henderson’s bail at $100,000, jail records show.
