CHARLESTON ANGLER SPRING FLING: The Charleston Angler will hold its free Spring Fling on Saturday at its West Ashley, Mount Pleasant and Summerville stores. S.C. DUCK CALLING CONTEST: The 2013 South Carolina State Duck Calling Contest is March 3 during the Winyah Bay Heritage Festival in Georgetown. The first event is the S.C. Open Junior contest, open to all callers age 16 and under as of the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2013. The S.C. State contest, open to all South Carolina residents 17 and older as of the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2013, will follow. The entry fee is $25 and the winner must represent the state in the World Duck Calling Contest the Saturday after Thanksgiving 2013. CREEKSIDE BASSMASTERS: Kevin Clark caught five bass that weighed 11.88 pounds to win the Creekside Bassmasters’ February tournament at Black’s Camp on the Santee Cooper lakes. Brian Crenshaw was second with five fish that weighed 11.69 pounds and Sid Fowler Jr. third with five fish that weighed 10.15 pounds. Roger Dennis had the big fish at 5.09 pounds.
