Stephen Colbert campaigns for sister at Charleston bowling alley
Comedian Stephen Colbert said he “couldn’t be happier” to campaign for his sister in Charleston this weekend.
Colbert is attending a series of events on Saturday to help raise money for his older sister Elizabeth Colbert Busch, a Democrat running for South Carolina’s 1st Congressional District.
They arrived together in a black SUV at The Alley, a bowling alley on Columbus Street for a reception just after 3 p.m. Saturday. A private dinner is scheduled at the home of Mark Tanenbaum on Sullivan’s Island later.
Entry into the events ranged from $250 to $5,200.
