The identified grave count at the Gaillard construction site is now up to 37, after several more remains were found this week and the pit expanded.

The layout shows the graveyard holding the deceased were found is much more defined that previously thought.

The remains now appear to be in at least four rows, said senior archaeologist Eric Poplin.

Work on the site is on hold ahead of expected heavy rains.

Five sets of remains have so far been removed.
