Charleston Dance Project to offer second production, ‘Funktionslust,’ at Sottile Theatre

The Charleston Dance Project, the professional company of Dancefx Charleston, presents its new concert production, “Funktionslust,” 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday at the Sottile Theatre.

The three-act performance roughly tracks the human maturation process, beginning with play-filled childhood, continuing with adolescence when responsibility is first introduced, and ending with adult self-discovery.

The 2012 offering by Charleston Dance Project, “Ebb and Flow,” marked the company’s debut.

Tickets for Funktionslust are $15 general admission in advance ($20 at the door; $10 for students). VIP tickets for Friday, which include a champagne reception, cost $25.
