On left, this surveillance photo was taken about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Regions Bank at 2210 Ashley Phosphate Road. On right, surveillance video was taken at the First Citizens Bank at 1319 North Main St. in Summerville about 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 26.

The man who robbed a North Charleston bank Tuesday afternoon looks a lot like a man who held up a Summerville bank last month.

A man walked into the Regions Bank at 2210 Ashley Phosphate Road about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday and gave a teller a note demanding money, according to North Charleston police. The man did not show a weapon.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen leaving the area on foot.

The man’s actions were recorded on the bank’s surveillance camera. He is described as 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, with hazel eyes and a light goatee, wearing a tan baseball cap, gray long-sleeved shirt and blue jeans.

Summerville Police Cap. Jon Rogers said that based on the surveillance images, it was likely the same man who held up the First Citizens Bank at 1319 North Main St. in Summerville around 2:50 p.m. on Jan. 26. That man also demanded money without displaying any weapon.

Anyone with information on the North Charleston bank holdup is asked to call North Charleston police at 554-5700.

Summerville police can be reached at 851-4100.
