Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies are searching for the driver who struck a woman in a hit-and-run wreck early Wednesday morning.
Shortly after 1:30 a.m., an intoxicated woman left the Oasis Bar and Grill at 778 Folly Road, walked into traffic and was struck by a vehicle, Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said. The vehicle’s driver fled the scene, he said.
Paramedics transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries, Brady said.
Deputies searched for witnesses, but Brady said none came forward.
Anyone with information on the wreck can call the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office at 202-1700 or Crime Stoppers at 554-1111.
