Two hospitalized in single-vehicle wreck on Johns Island
Two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle wreck on Johns Island early Wednesday morning.
Charleston County Sheriff’s deputies responded to River and Main roads shortly after 2 a.m. in response to a wreck, Sheriff’s Maj. Jim Brady said.
A Volkswagen sped off the left side of the road and struck a tree, causing serious injury to one person and life-threatening injuries to another, Brady said.
Paramedics transported both people to the hospital for treatment, Brady said.
The wreck is being investigated by the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office traffic division, Brady said.
