Kingstree girls’ basketball coach killed in car wreck
Kingstree Senior High School girls’ basketball coach Coach Sonya Burgess was killed in a car crash tonight, according to two local newspapers.
A number of people were expressing condolences on Twitter.
The Kingstree News reported her death, and the Florence Morning News included confirmation from Williamsburg County Coroner Harrison McKnight.
The Lady Jaguars were scheduled to play Lake City Tuesday, with the winner advancing to the Lower State Championship game in March, according to the newspapers.
