High Point 7, The Citadel 2
High Point (2-1) took advantage of a two-out error to score five times in the top of the eighth inning, and the Panthers went on to hand The Citadel (2-1) a 7-2 defeat at Riley Park on Sunday.
The Citadel returns to action Wednesday at Riley Park with a 6 p.m. game against Winthrop before hitting the road for a 3-game series at North Florida in Jacksonville, Fla., starting Friday.
