Car burns up outside North Charleston bank
A car burned up in a bank parking lot in North Charleston this afternoon when the engine caught on fire, sending up clouds of smoke that were visible for miles.
The fire was reported about 3:30 p.m. outside the First Citizens Bank at 2170 Ashley Phosphate Road, North Charleston Fire Department spokeswoman Bianca Sancic said. The car was a total loss, but there were no injuries.
