Trivia time. Name the only boys basketball coach in S.C. High School League history who has never lost a playoff game.

If you answered Blake Hall, move to the head of the class.

Hall is 7-0 in playoff games in his two years as a head coach. In his first season, he led North Charleston to the Class AA state title last winter, winning five games in a row. He took the Goose Creek job a couple of months after winning the title and has the Gators in the playoff mix.

Saturday night, Goose Creek remained alive with a 73-64 second-round victory over the Aiken Hornets.

Gator standout Dantez Bennamon is impressive, too. He hit 4 of his first 5 3-point attempts and finished with 34 points, including 22 in the first half, to lead the Gators to their 20th win in 24 games.

The Gators will play Ridge View, a 54-52 winner over Summerville in the third round. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday at Goose Creek.

Aiken finished with a 17-9 record. Dramel Coleman led the Hornets with 26 points and Megal Hill chipped in with 13.
