Joe Jackson, Austin Pritcher lead Citadel baseball to season-opening win over George Mason

Joe Jackson drove in five runs and Austin Pritcher pitched six shutout innings as The Citadel won its baseball season opener at Riley Park.
Jackson, a junior catcher, hit the first pitch he saw for a two-run home run in the first inning and added a double and two singles to go 4 for 5.
Pritcher (1-0) allowed four hits and struck out six.
Mason Davis scored three times for the Bulldogs, who will face Kansas State at 2 p.m. today in the Homewood Suites Tournament presented by Charleston Crab House.
