It’s early, but Baseball America already is out with a 2013 NCAA Baseball Tournament field projection, complete with regional assignments.
South Carolina, College World Series champs in 2010 and 2011 and the runner-up in 2012, is picked to host the Columbia Regional as a No. 1 seed.
Other Columbia Regional teams: No. 2 Miami, No. 3 College of Charleston, No. 4 Bryant (no, not Kobe).
Clemson projects as the No. 2 seed in Nashville, where Vanderbilt is No. 1, Notre Dame No. 3 and Austin Peay No. 4.
Coastal Carolina is the No. 2 seed in Raleigh, hosted by N.C. State.
Most college teams open the 2013 season Friday.
